A graduate of the internationally-renowned institute of photography at Falmouth University, John Liot is a multi-faceted photographer currently residing in Jersey in the Channel Islands with strong connections to the United Kingdom.
John's work is heavily portrait focused, though his portfolio attests to his ability and willingness to shoot and work with just about anything and everyone. His mindset is to follow passion, both his own and those of clients and collaborators. A competent technician with studio and artificial light, he's equally at home with minimalistic street photography and observed portraiture.
His work has gained him multiple awards from esteemed industry members, as well as international recognition with his project, 'Liam McGeary : The Fight' which saw him travel to New York as both photographer and journalist to tell the story of a Jersey local turned international combat superstar and future World Champion.
In 2017 John won a 'Dog Photographer of the Year' award through the prestigious Kennel Club, placing first in one of the competitions categories. The entrants for that year's awards surpassed 10,000 and submissions came in from over 60 countries.
John is currently available for bookings throughout 2017, please get in contact to arrange a free consultation to discuss an upcoming project or photo shoot you would like John to work on.
